How to Join and Register with Pack 33

Are you interested in your child joining Pack 33?  Cub Scouting is for girls and boys from 1st grade through the 5th grade.  See below for step-by-step registration instructions.  Registration for the 2022–2023 year is now open!  Contact us with any questions about becoming part of Pack 33.

I. New Scout Registration Instructions:  WELCOME!!!

  1. Register your Scout through the online youth application by following this link.  [Note, you will pay a fee when filling out this application.  You will also pay Pack 33 dues through PayPal.]

  2. Obtain a uniform and book from the San Rafael BSA trading post.

  3. Pay dues through the PayPal link below.

  4. Fill out your contact information by completing this Google form.

  5. Fill out the pack family talent survey by completing this Google form.

  6. Fill out medical forms Part A + B by following this link.  Please fill out the A & B portions of the BSA Scout medical forms and seal it in an envelope.  Medical forms will be stored in a locked portable data file and will accompany us on pack outings for use in case of an emergency.  All medical forms will be returned at the end of the scouting year.

  7. PARENTS: We request all parents to take the Youth Protection Training offered through Myscouting.org.  The safety and wellbeing of your Scout is our #1 priority.  We ask all Pack 33 parents to join us in ensuring that safety.  Training is available following registration at https://my.scouting.org/.

 

 

 

 

II. Returning Scout Registration Instructions:  WELCOME BACK!!!

 

  1. Pay dues through the PayPal link below.

  2. Fill out your contact information by completing this Google form.

  3. Fill out the pack family talent survey by completing this Google form.

  4. Fill out medical forms Part A + B by following this link. Please fill out the A & B portions of the BSA Scout medical forms and seal it in an envelope.  Medical forms will be stored in a locked portable data file and will accompany us on pack outings for use in case of an emergency.  All medical forms will be returned at the end of the scouting year.

  5. III. Adult Registration Instructions (for both New and Returning adults). Thank you for volunteering to help Pack 33!

 

  1. Communicate directly with your Scout’s Den Leader, copying the Cubmaster (mvpack33@gmail.com).

  2. Complete an online adult application by following this link.

  3. Complete mandatory youth protection training (YPT) online training following registration at https://my.scouting.org/.

  4. Review Parent Volunteer Roles at https://www.mvpack33.org/copy-of-parent-participation and contact us to let us know what you would like to do to help us out.

  5. Complete position-specific training at https://my.scouting.org/.

 

Registration fees for Pack 33 are $140.00 for New Scouts (who will pay $35.00 directly to BSA during registration) and $175.00 for Returning Scouts.  This covers our charter, your child’s registration with BSA (includes a Boys’ Life magazine subscription), and all expenses we incur to run Pack 33 and provide a first-class experience for your sons and daughters.  The above buttons will take you to our Pack’s preferred method of transacting, PayPal.  You can pay by credit card or directly from your PayPal account if you have one.  You will be redirected to this site when your transaction is complete.

We do not want Pack 33 to turn away a family due to financial hardship. Please contact your den leader or the Cubmaster if you would like to discuss a scholarship.

Photography Publishing Policy:

 

In a good-faith effort to promote Scouting and to share within the Scouting community, Mill Valley Pack 33 may publish on our website photos of our Scouts and participating family members performing Pack activities.  We realize that some Scouts, and participating family members, may prefer not to have their photos posted on our website, and to accommodate any such concerns, and, as part of the registration process, you will have an opportunity to consent to the use of your Scout’s image or likeness used in Pack 33 promotions or on the Pack 33 website.  We will make every effort to promptly remove any unauthorized photos from our website when notified.
